An abundance of Marys in Lourdes, France

I’ve just arrived in Lourdes, France and am opening myself to whatever is unfolding for me here. I’m not sure why I’ve been called here, but it felt very clear and strong and I’m grateful that I listened. Lourdes is a gorgeous city, surround by the Pyrenees mountains. It’s very lush and green and spring is springing!

Yesterday, walking around the city and settling in, I could sense the energy of the millions of people who have come here and will come here in search of healing and transformation of all kinds. It’s a city that has welcomed these pilgrims for more than 150 years. Wow!

I find it interesting that this weeks’ classes at LivingACourseinMiracles.com are entitled Unbreak Your Heart and our focus is on healing hurt and suffering. We’ve also got a full moon this week and that’s always a time of releasing. Wow again!

There’s clearly some Divine Atunement and Alignment happening and I’m looking forward to what it bring us! As I shared about in my Unity.FM online radio show yesterday (you can get all the downloads at iTunes) – we can move into the NOW moment and stop defending ourselves so that we can have deep and abiding healing, NOW. Let’s go for it!

If you haven’t already registered for the free classes at LivingACourseinMiracles.com please join us! We have 12 more classes – all free – including this week’s two classes.

Suffering is optional – let’s get our healing ON together!

Committed to Loving

When I need a powerful shot of inspiration I can turn to the words and life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It’s important to remember that Dr. King wasn’t a politician. He wasn’t a professor or a businessman. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a minister and he lived his life in the way and the teaching of his teacher, Jesus. Like his teacher before him he learned how to love through loving.

We all know the power of love, but how many of us are committed to loving as our daily practice of nonviolence? How many of us love as our mode of being in the world? If we’re not committed to love, what then are we committed to?

Dr. King spoke often about loving the enemy. I’m grateful every day for the direct benefits I enjoy because Dr. King loved those who appeared to be his enemy. Dr. King taught me that there will always come a time when my enemy, the one who has hurt me needs my help. Maybe they’ll need my prayers, a good job recommendation, some money, a kind word. The day will surely come when I have the opportunity to defeat my enemy, to embarrass, hurt or expose them. This is when I absolutely must find the love in my heart. This is when I most need to be inspired by those who went before me.

Dr. King didn’t teach about the oneness of all life the way that Earnest Holmes taught about it in the Science of Mind. But he lived it and understood it. Dr. King knew that any act of hatred was an act of self hatred. He knew that any act of violence against another would only lay himself low. And so he offered the other cheek. He offered himself in a new way. He met every act against him with love – not with tolerance, not with submission, but with a powerful force of love. A love we still feel today.

Like my teacher before me and his teacher before him, I am committed to loving. Join me and we walk together. Join me and we walk in the new heaven as one.

Service from the Heart

A full and rich life cannot be had without giving service to others. It is in service to others that we acknowledge and appreciate our oneness with all life. There are so many different ways to live a life of service. I think we sometimes believe that in order for our service to be substantial it must also be highly visible and dramatic.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve.” There are many ways to serve. I’ve come to see that being kind with everyone I meet is an extraordinary act of service. To treat people with love and kindness regardless of what they’re doing, or how they’re treating me is to serve God in the most direct way. While this may appear to be simple it can often be challenging and nearly impossible. Sometimes it is hard to even have a kind thought about someone who has treated me badly. Yet this is precisely when it is of the greatest service.

It is so easy to match a person’s anger with more anger. To remain in the loving heart, to demonstrate kindness in the face of anger is to turn the other cheek. I must ask myself, who is it that is being served when I’m able to remain loving and kind despite all kinds of provocation? Perhaps the person who is provoking me is giving me the opportunity to be of service. If my intention is to be more loving, can I find the answered prayer in the challenge to be of service?

Today I expand my idea of service to include choosing higher in moments of frustration. Today I look to be of service to the highest possibility of peace, of love, of my heart. Today I am open to the call to serve and to getting past any resistance. Today I am a true practitioner of nonviolence.

Affirmation:

I AM open hearted and loving!

Elimination & Illumination

As I said in the classes this week with Living A Course in Miracles, this journey of awakening often feels like a process of elimination on the way to illumination.

It’s a constant weeding of the garden. Any gardener knows this. An untended garden can easily and quickly become overrun. Neglect has it’s cost.

The benefit of consistent weeding is that it’s actually pretty easy. You gain momentum.

In the class with Regina Dawn Akers this week, she and I discussed how we both went from feeling like utter spiritual failures, and completely spiritually stupid every time we discovered yet another grievance or upset to realizing that we could take responsibility for the world we saw, weed the garden and have a noticeable increase in peace.

Through this way of working to clear the mind of all false beliefs, we were amazed at how after only a handful of years we made extraordinary and miraculous process. Our willingness to take responsibility was all that was required. It took us a few years to get there – and they were very difficult and trying years. Years that felt, at times, like we were being tortured, but then, that part of the journey ended and we were left with a clarity and peace of mind that was well worth it.

Have you never hiked up a difficult path to have an extraordinary view?
Have you never labored to accomplish something that was truly challenging, but oh so worthwhile?

This is part of the journey of life. It’s so worth it to go through the difficulty of purification! You get your life BACK. You get your mind BACK. Act now and you really can have it ALL!

You can still listen to the replays of our two classes this week – they’re available until Sunday afternoon pacific time. Go for it! Click here to register for LivingACourseinMiracles.com – 12 more classes left to go – all free! This coming week is with Maria Felipe and our topic is UNBREAK YOUR HEART! It’s going to be exceptional. I feel it!

What Will You Choose?

Last week I had the litany of challenges with my rental car. This week I’ve had a litany of technical challenges with internet and websites and things like that. So many small challenges that seem to make things difficult.

And yet, what will I remember about last week? I’ll remember most, my extraordinary opening, experiences of expansion through my spiritual practice, my trips to Stonehenge and the many kindnesses that people showed to me.

This week with all the technical challenges, what will I remember? More powerful days at Stonehenge, my beautiful trip to Glastonbury with my new friend Debbie and the days with her in Glastonbury and Salisbury. The gorgeous views of the landscape here in Wiltshire. I’ll remember the profound expansion I’m receiving from reading the lessons of A Course in Miracles while recording them for the iPhone app I’m building.

When we’re learning and growing and teaching, there are always challenges and there’s always amazing grace, beauty and opportunity. I don’t focus on the challenges, but I don’t deny them either. I focus on hearing, knowing, feeling and seeing clearly – that’s my responsibility and it brings me so much benefit. I love to share the benefit I experience with others. It’s a circle of oneness.

There’s a holy purpose to even the most mundane challenge. We can choose to embrace that or deny it. We can choose to wake up or sleep walk. What will you choose today?

I encourage you to listen to the replays of this week’s classes at LivingACourseinMiracles.com – the topic this week is Activating Your Intuition – people have been writing to say how beneficial they are – please enjoy them! You can register for free – go to LivingACourseinMiracles.com

The Knower Who Knows

Intuition is the “knower who knows” within each one of us. No one is without intuition. It is a muscle that can be exercised in order to grow strong and clear. It’s hard to imagine that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. or Mahatma Gandhi could have each changed an entire nation without using their intuition. How could they have each begun such a formidable journey without trusting that part of themselves that knew the right way to go?

In LIVING IN THE LIGHT, Shakti Gawain writes, “The more you do it, the easier it will become. Eventually you will be able to contact your intuition, ask yourself questions, and know that in that ‘wise being’ within you, an incredible source of power and strength is available to answer your questions and guide you. As you grow more sensitive to this guidance from the intuitive feelings within, you will gain a sense of knowing what you need do in any situation. Your intuitive power is always available to guide you whenever you need it. It will open to you as soon as you are willing to trust yourself and your inner knowledge.”

Today you can commit to developing a deeper relationship with the “knower who knows.” In developing your intuition and trusting it you are actively increasing your faith and your peace. When you ask for guidance, follow it and give thanks.

Take a Stand for Love!

Thursday, May 16th, 2013
Don't wait, take a stand for Love Now!

Don’t wait, take a stand for Love Now!

Click here to listen to the Prayer for Today- Standing in Love!

I notice that there’s not a day that goes by that the ego thoughts of something’s wrong with me don’t somehow come up for healing. They can seem to be so thick and pervasive, and yet, Love cuts through them like a hot knife through warm butter, because those ego throughs of “bad and wrong, not enough and too much” are all absolutely false and the only strength they can gather is our investment of our belief.

I’ve learned to say to them,
“Not true.
I AM Love.
I AM the purity of Love.
Love knows no lack.
Love knows no wrong or bad.
I AM the purity of Love, and ever shall it be so.”

The key is not to argue or agree.

If you’re feeling that things are really challenging for you right now, know this absolutely: This is the time of your greatest glory!!! You CAN take a stand for the Love that you ARE.

What is required is your willingness to hold firm to the Truth.
Claim your holiness and hold tight. Take a stand for BEING the Love of your life!

You’ll do this eventually, so why delay? Begin today!

Now is the Time

Click here to listen to the Prayer for Today- Divine Insight!

I don’t know about you, but there have been THOUSANDS of times when I thought, “I’ll deal with it later.” Meaning, “I’ll clean up my act tomorrow. I’ll deal with it another time.”

I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have delayed my healing and my happiness – and for what reason? To continue my suffering?

I felt tired, exhausted, overwhelmed, depressed or disappointed and so I thought, “I don’t have the strength to do something different now. I’ll tackle that another day.”

Now, I can see that thinking is insane. It’s not only crazy, it’s harmful. There’s so much power in choosing whatever is the most loving thing in the moment. Being able to clearly discern Divine guidance REALLY helps!

This week in my Living A Course in Miracles classes we’re talking about Activating Your Intuition. Perceiving intuition is one of the most helpful tools we have. It’s absolutely incredible what a difference it makes. People often don’t even realize how tuned in they are because they’re so used to rejecting the insight and guidance. That’s how crazy we can be when we’re identified with a false self, an ego self.

Now is the time for us to really listen and listen well – and by listen, I really only mean, to acknowledge and follow the guidance.

Remember last week when I shared about the car challenges? I really questioned whether or not I should return the rental car. Last night, I was sharing that the only place I could find that was quiet enough to continue my recording the ACIM workbook lessons (for the iPhone app I’m building), was in the car!

My intuition was to keep the car. It’s been just fine apart from the accident and the flat tire. Now, here was yet another reason to keep the car – I hadn’t even realized it!

There’s so much benefit to following Divine Guidance, I could write a book. Suffice to say, Regina and I are excited to share! You can still register – click the link here to register now – for the classes – 14 more to come!
