Optimism springs from certain knowledge that life is always improving. How do I know life is improving? I choose it and I open myself to receive it. That’s not only being optimistic it’s living masterfully.
Optimism is an attitude that I choose to walk in. My optimism comes from my understanding that regardless of anything that I see around me, underneath it all I feel that consciousness is ever-expanding. I have a fundamental belief that I live in a progressive rather than degenerative universe. Any destruction that I see is only proof that transformation is at hand—in the same way that winter’s destruction is evidence that spring’s new growth is coming.
Mahatma Gandhi said, “My optimism rests on my belief in the infinite possibilities of the individual to develop nonviolence. The more you develop it in your own being the more infectious it becomes till it overwhelms your surroundings and by and by might oversweep the world.”
Is the glass half empty or half-full? Isn’t it always full? Half water, half air = FULL! This is true and undeniable. The glass is always full. I use this understanding to cultivate optimism as a masterful practice of spirituality in my life.
Today I encourage you to examine your attitudes about life and look for areas where there is pessimism. Remember that whatever you believe you will experience in some form. If your heart FEELS like the glass that appears to be half empty, you can realize that in Spirit you are always full. Partner UP! The Higher Holy Spirit Self is eternally FULL of love. Be willing to allow it and you will feel it. Willingness is the key that open your heart to the fullness of Divine goodness in all areas of your life! You can be masterful!
I AM willing to know the fullness of LOVE in my heart.
