And the winner is … LOVE!

I have always loved the story about Thomas Edison and his discovery of the perfect filament for the light bulb. After trying many thousands of things that didn’t work, someone asked him if he didn’t feel like a failure and he said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

The failure is in not harvesting the learning from your experiences and having to repeat them again and again because in your judgment there is no value in your experience. Perhaps you think it SHOULD have been different. That SHOULD stands between you and your harvesting the learning from your experience.

If you’re not willing to learn from your experience, it’s a very long and difficult road to surrender.

If you’re trying to work your will in this world and have it be your way, then what a beautiful thing it is to realize that the way it is right now, is the result of your thinking. If you don’t like how it is, then realize that it’s not YOUR way.

Your way is the way of Love. That’s the true path of your life.

If your way feels like searing torture and disappointment, then perhaps you’ve forgotten who you really are. Perhaps you’re thinking that it SHOULD be different.

SHOULD = FAILURE to communicate Love

And the only real failure is not realizing that yet. Your little willingness is all that’s required. You will get there eventually. That’s guaranteed.

It’s only a matter of time.

Edison also understood willingness. He said, “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

Never give up on Love. Love will never give up on you!
