One REALLY helpful way to think about our relationships is that we’re actually only having one relationship and it’s with the Divine. There is only one life, one mind, one power, one presence and we’re all it! God is not outside of us or separate and so there’s just the one. We’re all part of it. So often, in our relationships we get triggered, or hurt or confused and then there’s a tendency to put up walls and boundaries. We feel defensive. Or maybe, if you’re like me, there’s a string of attack thoughts that get triggered.
I’ve learned that the most healing place for me to go is to recognize that I’m one with this person. They are not separate from me.
Sometimes new thought students will say: You are an illusion. You’re part of my dream.
I find it much more helpful to think: You’re part of me. You’re an aspect of my Higher Self come to teach me, help me, liberate me.
Many of us are afraid to actually know our own thoughts.
We don’t have an intimate relationship with our Higher Self.
Many are afraid to connect with their Higher Holy Spirit Self because they feel guilty and ashamed for being so unloving so often.
Let’s get over that fear, by simply being WILLING to stop judging ourselves, practice being transparent, and consider EVERY relationship – including the one with the person in the next car, and the one who holds up the line at the counter – an OPPORTUNITY to be loving, accepting and nonjudgmental.
We can feel safe everywhere we go when we’re always loving and kind. How cool is that? Isn’t it worth it?
I’ve been thinking about offering a class on what to do in case of freak out or meltdown. If enough people are interested I’ll add the class to my schedule as soon as I can. If you’re interested, will you please click to let me know?
We’re waking up together and I’m so grateful for that! If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful won’t you please share at facebook and twitter to let others know? Thank you!
