The ego cannot win in the long run. It’s not possible. Why? Because the human ego is merely a device that allows us to have this human experience for our growth and learning. It cannot win because it has no power of it’s own. It is nothing. How could nothing have any power? Only the great I AM has power and it is the ONLY power. There is no OTHER power.
Stop thinking the ego has power.
The ego APPEARS to have power when you believe in it.
Your attention is what makes it seem as if it has power.
Focus your attention on what is real: the Love that you eternally are.
Imagine that you are a long distance runner in a marathon race.
You’re running and running and it’s tiring.
Your muscles become depleted, weary and sore.
Your feet and back ache.
Your diaphragm is cramping.
It requires everything you have to keep running.
You’re covered in sweat and salt.
In some places you’re cut and bleeding from your clothing rubbing against you and the salt from your body, carried by your sweat, is putting salt into your wounds.
You may feel like giving up at times because you’d like the pain to be over.
You just want to stop.
Maybe you complain about the scenery along the way.
Maybe you resent and judge the company you meet along the way.
Maybe it feels like you’re running through a valley of shadows and death.
And yet, you cannot actually stop until you cross the finish line.
The only real option you have is to drag the race out.
You can fall to your knees and begin to crawl.
You can sit down and wallow in your misery.
If you choose you can make it more painful, more intense.
Or you can use your mind to rise above it and keep thine eye single.
You can use every part of your experience to refine your mind and strengthen your awareness of what is true and what is not.
You can rejoice to know the journey is coming to an end and your victory is certain.
As with the birth of a child, perhaps that last bit of effort is the most arduous. And like the mother giving birth, you know you must keep going until the birth is over.
We’re in the homestretch now.
You can complain that it’s not over yet and lengthen your experience of the journey, or you can rejoice that your victory is in sight.
The I AM offers us ALL the strength we need to make it to victory. Ask and it is given!
“I AM” the strength, the courage, the power to move forward steadily through all experiences, whatever they may be, and remain joyous and uplifted, filled with Peace and Harmony at all times by the Glorious Presence which “I AM.” Victory is mine! Victory is mine! Victory is mine!
Are you willing to put the I AM in charge of your journey?
We’re waking up together and I’m so grateful for that! If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful won’t you please share at Facebook and twitter to let others know? Thank you!
