The most healing practice I know of is to be kind to oneself. There are so many ways that we can learn to speak gently to ourselves.

Some people use unkind names when they speak of themselves: stupid, moron, etc. Replacing all those demeaning names with others such as: sweetheart, darling and precious one, really makes a difference. It sure changed things for me!

The energetic shift between saying stupid or sweetheart is light years away! It’s such an easy practice begin and it feels so loving, because it is!

We can be kind with ourselves in the way we do everything from brushing our teeth to eating our food.

Here’s a list of acts of kindness that I’ve learned to practice:

Having a nap
Eliminating rushing
Speaking sweetly
Making healthier choices
Listening to how I feel and having compassion for myself
Getting to bed earlier
Spending more time in nature
Allowing myself to have plenty of time to do nothing
Planning to include the things I really enjoy
Inspiring myself to do things rather than motivating myself with fear
Making my world a little bit neater and tidier and more beautiful
Blessing my food and drink
Blessing my body
Avoiding the foods and beverages that my mouth likes but my body doesn’t.
Being kind to others – it’s also a way to be kind to myself and stay harmonious!
Taking a moment to smell the roses, admire the scenery, and take a breath
Being grateful!

There’s untold ways to be kind to ourselves. Since it’s such a healing practice why not start today?
