Holding focus is an extremely valuable skill to have.  When you can hold your mental focus, then you can access the unlimited power of Spirit.  It works in so many beautiful ways.  For instance, have you ever seen a child focus on something important to them, such as getting a new bicycle or a video game?

Last week, I was at the mall with my nephew Mikey who is focused on getting a new video game that’s coming out in the fall.  He’s been doing things to earn money to get the game he has his mind set on. It’s clear that he’s willing to do what it takes to have what he’d like.  He’s focused and he’ll succeed.  There’s no obsession, no upset, just a clear intention and a strong desire that is becoming fulfilled through his focused attention.  Many of us have had experiences like that.

As adults, we sometimes forget that we can manifest our hearts’ desires.  We can acquire many beliefs that get in the way of our ability to hold the focus on what we’d like to experience.  Sometimes, we have repeated experiences of not getting what we want, and then we feel it’s too risky to set our heart on something.  Doubt creeps in.

Sometimes because, we have experiences of being mean, unforgiving, judgmental, and holding grudges, we begin to feel guilty and unworthy of the things we we would like to experience and have.  We don’t allow ourselves to even discover what it is we’d like.

When I first began working as a spiritual counselor, I met so many people who were either afraid to say what they most desired or they were unable to even allow themselves to be aware of what they desired.  For some, just being in touch with their heart’s desire was a journey deep within because it was so completely buried.  There was great fear of even knowing their heart’s calling.

I work with many people who are intensely afraid to allow themselves to invest in energizing their heart’s desire.  Yet, without a willingness to connect with Spirit, focus on the heart’s desire, and relinquish any related attachments, many people remain unfulfilled.  We must learn to ALLOW.  Without our active allowance and receptivity, the flow is just a dribble.

For me, one of the most beautiful parts of my life is supporting the people in Finding Freedom, Masterful Living, and in my Spiritual Counseling Training, and seeing how they allow themselves to have their heart’s desires.  Not only does it bring them tremendous healing, it also brings them many other benefits and inevitably many other people benefit, too.  It’s miraculous!

So much healing comes from cultivating the willingness to develop the ability to focus on your heart’s desire.  Yes, it does bring up fears to be healed, but isn’t that part of our mission to bring benefit to all humanity?  I know it is!

Forgiveness is a big part of that road to being able to focus.  Forgiving the debtors and the trespassers opens up the flow of Prosperity in your life.  It’s not just a matter of willingness, it helps to know HOW to forgive.  You can get my free “How to Get Over It” forgiveness workshop on the homepage of JenniferHadley.com – it’s a great way to start releasing the blocks and opening up the flow of Abundance – won’t you please share with someone now and open the flow for yourself?

If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful, won’t you please share at facebook and twitter to let others know?  Thank you!
