People sometimes get really upset when they feel someone has let them down or disappointed them. Expectations can bring a lot of suffering.
What I’ve seen in myself and others is this feeling that when people don’t meet our expectations, the tendency is to take it personally and interpret the experience to mean that we’re not loved.
What if the main reason we get upset with the thought that we’re not loved is that it triggers the belief that we’re unlovable?
And what if the belief that we’re unlovable comes from our own guilt and shame? So, we’re actually upset with ourselves. And the appearance of lack of Love from others is only a projection, a manifestation of our own lack of Self-Love, to help us realize that we have the power to change the outer by changing the inner.
Someone who truly loves themselves would not be able to hold the vibration of hatred for another. When we experience people who are expressing hatred in the world, we can hold the high-watch for them and hold in our heart and mind that they are remembering to love themselves. We can hold that they are lovable. That they are, indeed, fine people.
We’re One with everyone, let’s not hate those who hate.
“But I say unto you,
Love your enemies,
bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you;”
Prayer is our answer.
Prayer to remember the truth about ourselves is a great act of Self-Love.
We pray to release every false thought and remember the truth that sets us free.
We pray to see no enemies, only our precious brothers and sisters.
Some people attack themselves constantly. I believe that lack of Self-Love is the most pervasive and debilitating illness that affects the human race and all life on this sweet earth. And I believe we will eradicate in our life time.
I’ve heard even the most dedicated spiritual practitioners say they were stupid, and that they were idiots. It’s time to let these words go and decide not to use them at all. We don’t need these words anymore.
Self-hatred and self-abuse are completely within our power to heal. I believe it is our mission to heal self-hatred in our lifetime and I believe we can do it. We can give Spirit the heavy lifting of figuring out how it can happen. All we need do is our part.
Let’s remember that all are loved by the Beloved.
Please hold a vision of Self-Love for all beings with me. We have the ability to do it and we WILL accomplish it. Spirit is guiding us all. Our job is to say, “YES!” to Love in each moment and watch the whole world change.
