I really like joining with other people and having what I call a “Divine Dialogue”. I’ve had the same group of Prayer Partners for 21 years. I have long-time, close friends that I can lean into for support. For more than 20 years, I’ve had a Spiritual Counselor to turn to.
When we’re in pain, we’ve taken a point of view that is not correct, and talking about it with someone who will hold a higher view point is a great gift. It’s one that I love to give, and that I love to receive also. This practice in my friendships has been life-changing for me. We no longer roll around in the mud together. Instead, we extend Love and compassion, and see the possibility of healing.
When we can join together, it can often be SO helpful to get a clearer perspective. Having the support of someone who is interested in seeing clearly what the truth is makes a profound difference in our lives.
It’s so easy to lose perspective, until you train yourself not to.
In my classes, that’s what we’re doing. We’re training ourselves to hold that high, mountaintop awareness that can see everything, but not judge.
I consistently find that many people who isolate, and don’t have conversations with people who are practicing compassion and non-judgment, they often lose perspective. One of the great opportunities we have in a dialogue is to get a new perspective.
I often remember that A Course in Miracles tells us in lesson in 190 that “pain is a wrong perspective.” If you’re in pain, especially mentally and emotionally, it might be that you are viewing things from a wrong perspective, in which case, being able to join with someone who has a higher perspective, more Clarity, less judgment and more compassion.
Joining with others is part of why I love being a Spiritual Counselor, and why I love training Spiritual Counselors and empowering them. (Please consider working with one of the Spiritual Counselors I’m training – you can book a session on a donation basis – look here: https://jenniferhadley.com/spiritual-counselors/)
I rely upon my Prayer Partners to hold the high watch with me and to help me keep a loving perspective. I am so grateful for all the people in my life who have a wholesome perspective, and who help me to see correctly. What a blessing!
