Spirit is always leading us to a greater expression of Unity, Love, connection, Oneness, even when it seems like we’re being led away.

I woke up this morning and checked the election results, and here’s what I feel for us here in the United States and around the world:

We’re still divided in what we value. There’s a strong appearance of sides and opposition. With the new shifts in the balance of power in the government, I sense that Spirit is forcing us to look at the pain of acting in a divisive way. It feels to me like we’re choosing to learn what comes from making anyone the enemy or the “bad guy”.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the President, a senator, a governor or a caravan. When we don’t recognize our brothers and sisters are One with us, we’re going to suffer, and it’s our own choice because it’s our decision to separate that causes the pain.

There is no “other”. There just isn’t.

We must change our view to have a new experience.
That’s what the Civil Rights movement taught us.
And yet, here we are, learning it again.

A Course in Miracles tells us so clearly, “Seek not to change the world, but to choose to change your mind about the world.” That’s our calling. That’s our Divine Destiny.

Let us be about our Divine Mother-Father’s business now.
