You know the healing is REALLY happening in your mind when you no longer feel punished by the things occurring in your life. When you can take whatever comes in stride with grace.
Healing is happening when you’ve spun out your complaints, death threats, suicidal tendencies, despair, anger, hatred and depression to the point where it just doesn’t interest you anymore.
When we decide we’d like to get to that point of clarity, Spirit arranges for a lot of things to come up into our awareness for healing. It’s a purging and sometimes it feels like a hurricane, a tempest is brewing, and then it arrives full force.
When this happens, when it seems like life is melting down, PLEASE know this: it’s not a failure. It’s a crucible. Your life is melting down so you can be reborn. This is what happens in the Development of Trust, according to A Course in Miracles:
First, they must go through what might be called “a period of undoing.” This need not be painful, but it usually is so experienced. It seems as if things are being taken away, and it is rarely understood initially that their lack of value is merely being recognized. How can lack of value be perceived unless the perceiver is in a position where he must see things in a different light? He is not yet at a point at which he can make the shift entirely internally. And so the plan will sometimes call for changes in what seem to be external circumstances. These changes are always helpful. When the teacher of God has learned that much, he goes on to the second stage.
It’s like when the caterpillar goes into the cocoon. It’s of it’s own making. Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar melts. It liquefies, like in a crucible where the metal is melted so that the dross can be burned off, or so that the high temperature, pressure, heat, will bring an alchemy of change.
A meltdown is part of the healing process. Move through it and get to the other side with help from the invisible. Don’t go it alone. Call on Spirit to carry you, but be willing to go.
We all desire this change and we all have levels of resistance. Being in resistance isn’t being stuck. Give thanks that you’re not stagnant. Note where you are, without any judgment, and be willing to move to the next stage of your healing. Willingness is ALL that’s required, and we don’t have to understand ANY of it to be willing.
