Okay, I won’t sugar coat it, undoing unworthiness takes some real work and attention. Sometimes people find it really super challenging, but it can definitely be undone faster than we think if we’re willing to put our attention on it and do the work.
There are two big challenges that keep people from doing the work successfully.
They’re putting in lots of effort but not making progress for these two reasons:
FIRST, they don’t believe that the work they do will make a difference.
SECOND, they are afraid to look within, and that’s a requirement for doing the work.
Most of us have to deal with both of these issues to have the healing. I certainly did.
We don’t believe that the work we do will make a difference because:
- The work we’ve done in the past wasn’t actually inner work – it’s lots of reading books, listening to audios, going to classes and retreats, etc. where the work is discussed but not done. (And, BTW, this is why my Finding Freedom From Fear program is a bootcamp to do the work.)
- We believe it works for others but not for us. We’re especially bad, wrong, dysfunctional, stupid, or whatever that core belief is.
Hear me now. The work doesn’t work for us because we’re not really doing the work AND because we’re (sometimes secretly) holding onto our view of ourselves as dysfunctional because we made it. We’ve formed our identity around it and we’re not willing to let it go.
Doing the actual inner work is the way to dislodge the attachment to the false identity, and that will not come from discussing the work without doing it. Thinking about it is entertaining to the ego, but it doesn’t accomplish much.
Spirit CANNOT fail. We must put Spirit in charge to make the change. And we must roll up our spiritual sleeves, and do the work. If you’re not sure where to start, check out my podcast episode today. I’m sharing a link to a worksheet that will help you to undo the unworthiness IF YOU DO THE WORK.
Do you ever feel crazy because you’re perpetuating your own unworthiness and you know it? Please tell us about it and share in the comments below! Let’s join together for our healing! Thank you!
