Have you noticed the energy shifting all around you, as well as in you? I sure have. What I see is that the people who have a small amount of willingness are using that to create an opening in their heart and their mind to find an even greater willingness, and they are seeing real results from it.

And then there are the folks who are in the place of believing they aren’t worthy of the good in life, and that they’re so unworthy that they don’t believe the healing can happen for them.

I used to feel so strongly that things work for others, but not for me, and so, “Why bother?” Can you relate?

I continued listening to audios, and reading books, and going to spiritual events without really committing to do the deep work. I continued feeling that the true healing and awakening I was after was elusive.

I didn’t realize that the reason it was elusive was because of my own resistance to make the commitment to doing the inner work necessary. It requires the willingness to overcome the fear to look within – and that fear is STRONG, but it has no power unless we give it power. It dissolves when we join together with others to look together. I love that about spiritual community.

I remember working with a counseling client who doubted the possibility of having real results. I said “If I could guarantee you that Fed-Ex would deliver your perfect healing on a day one year from now, would you accept it?”

She said she would receive it, yes.

I said, “Alright then, let’s work together in faith. Now, if you will take the stand that YOU know your healing will be delivered – even though you don’t know what it will look like – how would you like to focus your energy for the next year?”

You see, without faith she would spend the next year worrying and stressing about NOT HAVING the healing. But if she was willing to believe that the healing was guaranteed, she wouldn’t be worrying and stressing.

AND she wouldn’t be pushing the healing away. When we doubt, we are pushing the results we’d like away. And, deep down, it’s about our worthiness. That’s ALL it’s about. In ALL cases. All our doubt about Spirit is really self-doubt projected onto God.

We can’t be welcoming our good at the same time as we’re doubting it’s happening. Those are two opposing thoughts.

Just last weekend I did my Recovery From Sexual Abuse retreat, and it was one of the VERY BEST things I’ve ever done. Here’s why it was so great:

All of the participants were ALL-IN for their healing. They had GREAT willingness, even though they were anxious about doing the inner work.

They definitely had the fear to look within, but they were so willing to have a breakthrough.

These beautiful women in the photo above, Paula, Elizabeth, Kelly and Suzi, have SO MUCH COURAGE! They are to be applauded. They knew they were doing this inner work for everyone and not just themselves. They let go of so much and it was inspiring to be a part of it.

I wish there were some way I could inspire everyone to be willing to do the inner work and set themselves free. It’s the reason why I like to do the classes and retreats I do – working together it’s joyful and easier. Last weekend we had a lot of laughs, and everyone agreed that they had fun.
