"The holiest of all the spots on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love.” ACIM

Really and truly, all hatred that people feel towards others is self-hatred projected outwards. Please note how often, in this world, people seem to love each other so intensely and then they feel betrayed in some way and it flips to hatred.
That’s the essence of the special relationship in our lives. It’s like an malicious vermin, eating at us from the inside, devouring all chance of happiness.
Fortunately, we don’t have to have special relationships of any kind.
We don’t have to have special love relationships.
We don’t have to have special hate relationships.
We can have holy relationships.
The key is this: we give without needing anything in return.
To have a holy relationship we must be willing to stop all manipulation, all need to control. We must be willing to love because we love loving.
We love because it’s our nature.
We don’t need recognition or appreciation, because the opportunity to express our love and have it received is gift enough.
True love asks for nothing and is always satisfied.
“Love is not an illusion. It is a fact. Where disillusionment is possible, there was not love but hate. For hate is an illusion, and what can change was never love.” A Course in Miracles, T-16.IV.4.
This is the same as what Shakespeare wrote in his Sonnet 116, “Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds, nor bends with the remover to remove. It is an ever-fixed mark and looks upon tempests and is not shaken.”
I love that Sonnet. It is an ode to unconditional love and the steadfastness of it.
Love is not an illusion.
It is a fact.
If we can change our mind about someone and decide they are no longer worth loving then we must admit we never did love in the first place, because love is not love which changes when the conditions change.
Hatred, on the other hand, can instantaneously dissolve and resolve because it is 100% conditional. Hence, hatred can be healed. It can be fully and miraculously healed. And that is our Father-Mother God’s business, and so it is our business.
Our business is to fully love now and always and to release the idea of hate completely.
I don’t like to say something like “I hate being late.” I’d rather not speak of myself hating anything even when I intensely dislike it.
I’d rather focus on Love and being loving.
As it has been said so wisely about so many things, I will now say about hatred and hating:
“Aint nobody got time for that.”
