What a week! The intensity of density has really been felt by most of us. Lots of inner churning and burning.
As I’ve said many times: It’s all good, but it’s not all fun.
Today is the equinox. We’re half way between the darkest day of the year and the lightest day of the year.
Every frustration, irritation and annoyance is an opportunity for us to smooth out our rough edges, our unloving spots.
This smoothing is really worth dedicating ourselves to.
One of my favorite songs is “Rolling River God.” When I lived in Los Angeles, I had a Honda hatchback that I drove all over the place. It had a cassette deck and I had a recording of Bridgette Bryant singing this beautiful song – I wish I still had that recording.
I’ve heard her sing the song a number of times, but this one time at Agape she really nailed it like never before. I used to listen to that cassette and sing along in the car, usually with tears streaming down my face.
I so relate to the message in this song. I have been thinking of it for days now. It comforts me and uplifts me.
I offer it to you now with the hope that you too will feel uplifted and comforted by it.
