The Text of A Course in Miracles begins with fifty miracle principles. They’re beautiful and helpful and some are cryptic. The 11th miracle principle is:
“Prayer is the medium of miracles. It is a means of communication of the created with the Creator. Through prayer love is received, and through miracles love is expressed.”
Medium is a great word choice here, it has several great meanings and the one I most prefer is to liken it to a soil in which something can be planted and grown.
Medium can also mean a channel and that would also service here and work well enough, but I prefer to think that Jesus meant it as a place where miracles are planted and grown. Certainly, that’s been my experience.
Prayer changed my life – it sent me in a new direction.
Through my own use of prayer I realized that I had a direct connection with Spirit that was no joke. It’s dependable and reliable and that felt like a miracle to me.
Prayer works so fast – but it SEEMS not to work when we’re not in our right mind.
How beautiful it is to realize that when we pray it’s a way for us to commune and communicate with our Creator. In prayer, our mind and heart open to receive the answered prayer and so we instantly can become more receptive. If we’re more receptive, we’re more likely to allow the answered prayer and not reject it. Nice!
Today, my podcast episode is about ACIM and Prayer. It’s such a rich topic and I’m grateful to be able to share on it!
