Father’s Day is coming this weekend and my father is joining us at Sundays With Spirit. You can join us too! I’ve asked my Dad to be willing to have people ask him questions, so if you’ve got one, bring it!
Many people have issues with their fathers. No father can get away without making some choices that negatively affect their children, and some fathers hardly consider how their children are affected by their choices.
One of the saddest things I see is when someone’s parent makes their transition and their is no resolution of old hurts. The resolution can still happen, time and space are no barriers to the healing of the heart and mind. Yet, many believe that it can never be resolved and they keep affirming it over and over again, making themselves heartsick and causing a deep and wrenching grief.
The teaching is “do unto others what you would have done unto you because what you do to others WILL be done to you.” Maybe that’s true. Let’s pretend that it is.
What would YOU like?
For myself, I’d like to forgive everyone now.
I’d like all karmic debts to be paid in full now.
I don’t wish to hold anything against anyone.
I’d like to set everyone free, most especially myself.
Resentment is the worst use of my energy. It’s adding injury to insult, and it’s all within my ability to control.
It may look like we need to forgive our family members, but the truth is we must forgive ourselves.
Let’s focus on that. Let’s stop holding onto resentment and revenge fantasies and instead hold a vision of wholeness for all.
To have, give all to all.
To have Peace, share Peace with all.
