“Healing is the one ability everyone can develop and must develop if he is to be healed.” A Course in Miracles
You may remember me talking about my getting contact lenses a few months ago. My journey continues. On Saturday I did something, I don’t know what, that seemed to have scratched my eyeball.
It felt as though something got under my contact lenses, and then my rubbing my eye because it was irritated somehow scratched my eye. It was very painful and uncomfortable. I didn’t like it, but it didn’t upset me and for that I’m grateful.
I wasn’t worried or afraid. I could feel that, while in the moment it was painful and difficult, that the eye would heal quickly and I’d be fine. I cancelled my plans and just rested. That felt good.
Sunday I woke up and my eye felt well, but I decided not to put contacts in for a day or two – I’ll wait for Spirit to let me know when. I don’t need to figure it out or make any other decisions. I find my life is better when I live it this way.
More and more I’m noticing the predilections my ego personality are not congruent with what I would like. I can see the split mind right in front of me and I’m grateful for that.
I can feel the groove of past choices, like an empty river bed in my mind – I’ve stopped sending my energy down those old beliefs and so the memory of what I used to choose is right there, but I don’t have an interest in it anymore.
My tastes are changing. My preferences are changing. Where I used to hold onto what was familiar, now I find comfort and safety in the more loving choices even if they’re unfamiliar. I really like the way this feels.
Spirit will guide us when we’re willing.
We can relax into Spirit the way we relax into bed at night. I have a wonderful cushy topper on my mattress and every time I get into bed at night I say, “ahhhhh.” Life can be like that some of the time if not all of the time.
“You recognize you want the goal. Are you not also willing to accept the means? If you are not, let us admit that you are inconsistent.” A Course in Miracles
We can learn to trust Spirit.
I hold this vision for us. It’s happening now.
Healing is here if we choose it.
Honestly, I never thought I’d experience the healing that I have. I didn’t know how to get past the struggle with self-medication and self-sabotage, but I did – because of my spiritual practices. And that’s what I’d like to share with you.
End My Self Sabotage Challenge

From Self-Medication So You Can Live A Life You Love!
This challenge is about gaining awareness and becoming inspired. This is about motivation, not information. Information isn’t healing, but expanded awareness is! Let’s get some expanded awareness together!!
Most people fall into self-medication at one time or another, and for some people, it’s a very addictive and compulsive habit that is demoralizing self-sabotage that keeps us playing small and feeling shameful. Enough!!
Let’s gain awareness and become inspired to make some changes. Awareness is always curative.
Let’s gain the motivation to be more self-loving, to release shame, and to open our hearts to have more energy to live a life we truly LOVE!
We’ll do it together! We’ll release the resistance and reluctance together. Let’s get that out of the way so we can get on with being truly helpful!
One of the most challenging aspects of my life was grappling with self-sabotage and self-medication. That’s why I started doing my program to End My Self-Sabotage Challenge – we begin next Saturday, July 17 – check out the details here. This is one of my best offers ever!
