We’ve all experienced having someone attack us in a way that seems completely unjustified. The temptation is to defend and/or retaliate.

What if instead of either of those choices were to see the attack as a cry for Love?

What if we extend compassion instead?

Of course, it won’t always work to bring things back to harmony. Some people are intent on attack and they’re looking for a fight.

In the face of attack, if we offer compassion instead of a defense, we’ll feel better about ourselves – and there will be more Love in the world.

And that changes the world.

I think that’s what Jesus meant when he advised us to turn the other cheek.

Offer a new face.

This is a deep practice.
It’s not for everyone.

I really truly am interested in living in a world where everyone feels loved and beloved. The people who are most likely to attack are the ones who feel the most unlovable. They’re like a caged animal who has been beaten and can’t imagine feeling safe and secure.

I’m interested in doing what I can to turn the other cheek.

There have been times when I found it so difficult, but I did it anyway. I’ve never regretted it. Not once.

When we’re willing, Spirit goes before us and makes the way clear. We have to approach with humility and a strong intention to see Love prevail. It’s not about being right. It’s about being the Love that we are.

This is how we heal ourselves and extend that healing to the whole of humanity.

War is over if you want it.
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life, for us, if we choose it.

We are the dreamers of the dream.

WOW! This is a timely message for me today. I am willing to give the relationships to the Holy Spirit and I’m learning each day. It’s a process….consistent mind training. It’s not happening overnight for me so I’m grateful that Holy Spirit is patient. Each day is a new opportunity to see it as Love.
