Yesterday I was offering my free class, 7 Simple Steps to Interrupt Patterns of Fear (I’m also doing it again today) and one of the important things I was sharing about how to interrupt patterns of fear is that we ask Spirit, the Higher Holy Spirit Self to heal the root causes of fear.
In the Fear and Conflict section of A Course in Miracles, Jesus tells us, “Fear arises from lack of love.”
When we feel fear it’s because we’re choosing unloving thoughts and behavior and we can choose again. It’s not complicated.
We’re looking for the antidote to fear in the wrong place when we think that the cause of fear is in the world. If we think the cause of fear about money is not enough money then we’re going to think that the remedy is money, and we’ll be seeking a solution without finding it.
When we think the cause of fear is circumstantial – it’s in the world – then we’re not understanding the cause of fear.
Fear is caused by choosing thoughts that are unloving.
Now, most of us have been trained to think unloving thoughts all day long. That’s the ego-mind training. Judgments, criticisms, complaints, taking offense, jealousy, resentment, regret, etc. – all of this is unloving.
I used to find myself compulsively running these kinds of thoughts through my mind. It felt like I couldn’t make it stop. It was maddening, depressing, and disconcerting.
I couldn’t seem to stop the unloving thoughts.
That’s when I learned my simple tool:
I learned to CATCH the unloving thought. Because it upset me, I noticed the state change and could recognize when I was out of my right mind.
Then I RELEASE the unloving thought to the Higher Holy Spirit Self for healing. I let it go FOREVER.
Lastly, I REPLACE the unloving thought with one of Love and gratitude. Actively choosing to be grateful raises my vibration so I can see, feel, hear and know the truth more clearly. Thinking loving thoughts puts me in my right mind.
I cannot think unloving thoughts and loving thoughts at the same time. I have to choose.
When I choose to Love fear dissolves.
I’m glad to be doing my 7 Simple Steps to Interrupt Patterns of Fear class again today. I’m grateful I followed Spirit’s inspiration to do this now as people are finding it so helpful. Many are experiencing a lot of fear right now, and I hope that’s not you, but if it is, there’s good news. We can shift the patterns and then all these triggers become the motivation we needed to transform our life and it worked. Yay!
