I’ve noticed this last week that I had some stress off and on.  At first I felt it was because I had SO MUCH to do, but then I began to realize that it was one of those “energetic weather storms” that we all experience.

Sometimes it seems like everyone is feeling irritable and on the verge of tears.  It can feel like there’s extra pressure from the unseen pushing the unhealed patterns to the surface.  This week I’ve really felt it and noticed it in the folks I’ve been talking to.

The pressure that brings things to the surface is helpful to us.  When things come up for healing we have the strong possibility of actually dealing with them rather than just managing and coping.

Yesterday I had another very full day and no spare time.  I’m learning to be careful about scheduling too much because I need to be able to take Bodhi out and run her around and play with her.  I have a responsibility to her and so I prioritize her care, plus, I enjoy being with her and doing things with her.

I took Bodhi to walk and play and, as is her way she managed to find the muddy spots and got covered with mud.  That meant another extra amount of time to get her cleaned up.  She really was covered in mud.  As you can see in the pix here.

What I notice now, as I write this, it didn’t really bother me.  The mess, the time that it took to get her clean and all of that, I had no opinion about it.  I’m glad she’s having fun, doing what she loves.  Yes, it takes some time to clean her up and she really does NOT like that part, but we’re figuring it out.

I don’t ever think of her as a bad dog.

She is doing what dogs do.  It’s her job to roll in the mud, and dig holes, and get into stinky stuff.  It would be crazy to think she was bad for doing it.

I’m grateful that it’s not upsetting to me.  And I’m amazed that no matter how dirty she gets, by the end of the day she’s all clean and beautiful again.  It’s pretty cool, actually.

Life is generally stressful for most everyone right now, so let’s all be gentle with each other and practice extreme patience and kindness.

When we become masterful at that, everyone benefits.  Plus, we’re in it for all eternity together – let’s make it a good time!
