A Course in Miracles tells us there is no will but God’s will.

One will. One Life. One Power. One Presence. I take comfort in that. No matter what I choose in this world, I am still operating from that one will that is God’s will.

ACIM also tells us that God’s will for us is perfect happiness.

Let’s accept that and get out of the way.

I know it’s confusing.

How could it be God’s will for people to do heinous things? It’s not that those acts are God’s will, it’s that in this human experience we have the opportunity to choose whatever we wish and experience the effect of it. THAT is God’s will for us.

In the past, I would often choose things that were self-destructive. I don’t do that anymore, not because I have great will power, but because I’ve learned to love myself and to see my divinity and to honor that. I’m interested in strengthening and increasing my ability to love without limits. Making self-destructive choices isn’t on my radar anymore.
