I’m so impressed by the protestors in Russia who have taken to the streets to let it be known that they are not for this invasion of Ukraine. I also admire the music and sports celebrities who are speaking out against this war.
It takes a lot of courage to speak up when you know there will be dire consequences.
However, if they don’t speak up then there’s little chance for change.
Generally, the population of the world does not wish to study war anymore. Or we could say that we’ve studied it and finally realized what a losing proposition it is.
What we can see being played out on a global scale, and in many countries of the world, is the basic teaching of:
The attacker always feels attacked.
The judger always feels judged.
And what I am so grateful is that the lover always feels beloved.
We are the beloved of the beloved.
The way to Peace is through choosing to be peaceful.
We cannot attack the attacker and expect to come to Peace. It doesn’t work.
We cannot wage a war to get to Peace.
It doesn’t work.
We know this and we don’t need to go through it again.
I feel it’s so valuable for us to look around our personal relationships and see where we are less than peaceful. Here’s our opportunity to contribute to world Peace. Let’s get to it today.
