I have a passion for spiritual teachings that are true.  My friends all know this about me.  I’ve “outed” myself as a God geek so completely.

Back in the day I really did call up my friends and ask if we could get together and talk about God.

One of the many things that really floats my boat is sharing.  I LOVE to be able to share with others.

I’ve been sharing other teachers’ offerings for many years and quite often.  Over the years, I’ve had a number of people remark on how supportive I am of other spiritual teachers and helping people to know about them.

I understand that many people believe that there’s competition among spiritual teachers, and I’ve certainly experienced that a number of times, but I also know that it’s an illusion and so I don’t need to give it any credence.

The reason that I teach so many classes, that I have a radio show/podcast, and that I do all that I do is because I genuinely LOVE to be in connection with others on the topic of living a life of Love.  Sharing lights me up.  Connecting with others is so deeply fulfilling.

Discovering how to really, truly, authentically live a life of Love was really HARD for me.  Now that I understand it, I’d like to share it with everyone who’s interested.

When I was in ministerial school I had a realization that the greatest marketing principle for me to follow is:  If I be lifted up, I draw all unto me.  From that realization I made the decision to focus on my own inner lifting.  I also realized that, in effect, I am marketing giving up what is false and the efficacy of living by spiritual principle.

I often say, “I work for God, Inc.” and the benefits are great!

I was so greatly relieved of any idea of competition when I read this in Chapter 2 of the ACIM Manual for Teachers:

“Certain pupils have been assigned to each of God’s teachers, and they will begin to look for him as soon as he has answered the Call.  They were chosen for him because the form of the universal curriculum that he will teach is best for them in view of their level of understanding.  His pupils have been waiting for him, for his coming is certain.  Again, it is only a matter of time.  Once he has chosen to fulfill his role, they are ready to fulfill theirs.  Time waits on his choice, but not on whom he will serve.  When he is ready to learn, the opportunities to teach will be provided for him.”

Prior to reading that section in the Manual for Teachers, I simply figured that since there’s only one life, and one mind, how could that one life be in competition with itself in REALITY.  It couldn’t.

I feel that one of my opportunities is to help people find the teacher who best speaks to them.  I have no idea who that will be, and I’m so delighted when I can be a means of introduction.  In this way, I can be truly helpful.

In this world, there are a gazillion ways we can see separation manifesting all around us.  It’s not that separation is real, but when we believe it, we’ll see it again and again.

In reading that section in the Manual for Teachers I was also greatly relieved to know that my focus could stay on fulfilling my function and that those whom I could serve would find me.  I could trust Spirit to take care of that and let Love lead me to my own inner work.
