I’ve been studying and sharing ways to release unforgiveness 22 years. One of the tools that I’ve found very helpful is the Hawaiian method of forgiveness we know as Ho’oponopono. I’ve been practicing it as taught by Dr. Hew Len.
For a week or so now I’ve been doing Ho’oponopono for the leader of Russia, with the intention that it would help him to come into his right mind and end this aggression.
I’m inviting you to join me.
Even if you don’t know how it works, you can still join me. Here are the basics.
In doing Ho’oponopono we’re forgiving ourselves, and, in a sense, we’re asking for our own forgiveness.
What is there to forgive? Showing up in ways that are destructive, and unloving. We can do Ho’oponoono for any person, place or thing. I’ve been including the whole world, Russia, and Ukraine.
Here is what we say:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
We’re saying it to ourselves, to release the judgment and attack.
I could say much more, but this is plenty.
Let’s do it together. Even a few minutes a day will be healing and life-changing.
We often feel helpless in the face of extreme violence in a far away country. We’d like to help, but what can we actually do? We can pray. Prayer changes everything. As it says in A Course in Miracles, “prayer is the medium of miracles.”
Let’s bring on some miracles!
I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you
