Well, Sattva was neutered yesterday, as I wrote in yesterday’s blog. It all went very well. I picked him up at the end of the day and he was awake and could have really used some cuddling, but we both settled for me putting my fingers in his carrying case and petting him until we got home.
Once home he ate, and began tearing around the house as usual. I was amazed. He even jumped on the kitchen counter, something he recently started doing.
Bodhi, my dog, started running after him and wanted to groom him. I kept an eye on them and managed to keep it all safe. Then, they finally fell out and went to sleep for the night.
I feel grateful that it all went so well.
Like I said yesterday, if it didn’t go the way I hoped it would, I wouldn’t have liked it, but I would have looked for the blessing in it.
I look for the blessings in everything.
I know there’s one there and I would like to find it.
I may not be able to see the blessing or even feel it or understand it, but I am willing to know there’s one there and someday I’ll find it.
