Gratitude magnifies and multiplies the good and a grateful heart magnetizes to it an ever-increasing good. I’m not sure how I learned it, but I’m very grateful that I did.
I cannot be grateful and judgmental at the same time.
On so many occasions my willingness to move out of judgment and attack thought by choosing to be grateful has changed the trajectory of my life.
It was real.
That’s the power of gratitude.
As today is Thanksgiving, it’s a helpful reminder to be very, very grateful.
Let’s be grateful that in God there is no past or future, just the eternal now, filled with Love.
Today is a day to be grateful for family even when we may not like them or how they treat us.
Instead of complaining and judging, let’s deepen our spiritual practice in order to find our Joy, and our Peace.
If we trust in A Course in Miracles, let’s remember what it says:
“Your gratitude to your brother is the only gift I want. I will bring it to God for you, knowing that to know your brother is to know God. If you are grateful to your brother, you are grateful to God for what He created. Through your gratitude you come to know your brother, and one moment of real recognition makes everyone your brother because each of them is of your Father. Love does not conquer all things, but it does set all things right. Because you are the Kingdom of God I can lead you back to your own creations.” ~ A Course in Miracles, T-4.VI.7.
Your gratitude to your brother is the only gift I want.
Can we give that?
Do we have to withhold it?
What do we feel we lose if we cultivate a grateful heart?
Gratitude has helped me heal my mind and my life. I am grateful for my ability to be grateful. I am grateful that gratitude allows me to cultivate the willingness to go the other way.
Let’s practice with everyone we meet today and make it a beautiful day.
Happy Thanksgiving from my heart to yours!
