I love how safe my dog, Bodhi, and cat, Sattva, feel sleeping together and sharing space.

This fall I’m taking a group of people with me on a Camino walk along the coast of Portugal and into Spain. I’m excited about it for many reasons: my friends Rosalyn Rourke, Lisa Natoli and Bill Free LOVED the trip. Lisa and Bill loved it so much they did it twice. Lisa said it was the best trip EVER. Best trip of her life!
Lisa and I like almost all of the same things, so I’m sure I’ll love this trip too.
I am SO looking forward to having this time with friends – those that I’ve known for years and folks I’ve yet to meet. I love being outdoors in beautiful places, I really enjoy walking, and I love trying new restaurants and cafe’s.
I used to feel really insecure and uncomfortable when traveling. I found that my feelings of insecurity would lead me to feel defensive and antagonistic. I’d be stressed.
As God would have it, in the last 12 years or so I’ve done a lot of traveling for work – well not during the pandemic, but before then – and all that travel, plus years of not even having a home, gave me the opportunity to learn how to feel safe and secure everywhere, regardless of the circumstances.
Now, I think of travel as a way to make more friends and share the beauty of practicing forgiveness and practicing non-judgment. It’s a way for me to be truly helpful. I appreciate the opportunities travel gives me to demonstrate the efficacy of being kind and compassionate as well as the opportunity to make friends of strangers.
To humorist Will Rogers, strangers were simply friends he hadn’t met. Being able to be friendly as an attitude, as a way of life is a gift. It’s the gift I give others and it makes me available to receive the gift of appreciation and friendliness in return. If I want to have friends I must be a friend first. There’s no limit to the friends I can have! How cool is that? There’s no ceiling on the possibilities and rewards my friendships can provide.
As I walk through the world I notice that everyone, including me, needs friends.
Without friendship there is little enjoyment. I carry my friendliness as a sign that I am open to new friends and that I am a safe place for people to be themselves.
Today I view the new people I encounter as friends I haven’t yet met.
Today I make friendliness part of my personal spiritual practice of being truly helpful. With every step I move the world in a direction of peace and for that I am so very grateful!

It’s not too late! Class tomorrow – Moving out of the stress of fearful imaginings and anchoring into the truth of our spiritual life is what our Change Your Mind About Your Body Program is all about. It’s about breaking the habit of believing we’re a body, and believing that we’re not good enough to be loved. It’s about getting to the root cause of our suffering over our bodies.
Follow your guidance, and if Spirit leads you to join us I will be happy to welcome you! No matter what, we remember that we’re entitled to miracles.
NEW PODCAST EPISODE! The most recent episode of my podcast’s topic is Our Salvation Is Here. Our salvation is right in front of us to recognize and accept. Let’s speed things up and eliminate the causes of suffering!
