No More Revenge

Wednesday, November 6th, 2019

One of my all-time favorite teachers is Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and he is so clear about getting even.  It makes sense.  He was a true student of Jesus.  They knew the power of forgiveness to transform not only the life of the person who seems to be attacked but also the life of the attacker.  After all, we are united.  When one is lifted, all are lifted instantly.

Dr. King warns us that the opportunity to get even will come, and when that moment arrives, not to take it.  He advises to go the other way and have profound healing.

It’s good advice.

There’s no personal benefit to holding onto resentments and then trying to get some kind of revenge.

That is not a good use of our time and energy.

I know a lot about that.

I’ve done the research.

If we hold onto our murderous thoughts, and let them ripen into revenge plots of anger, attack, and anguish we’ve not invested ourselves in anything that’s productive.  Instead, we’ve essentially built a Frankenstein monster that lives inside of us.

Attack is only satisfying for a moment – and that’s NEVER worth the price. Ever.  It’s a meal of broken glass and metal shavings.  Avoid it at all costs.

The temptation to exact revenge can be so strong at times.

It’s the ego at its worst.

It’s often expressed in withholding Love.  That’s when we try to punish others by withholding Love from them, but we’re the ones who are experiencing the restriction, not them.  Ugh.

Since all attack is self-attack, it’s self-destructive to seek revenge.

Fortunately, there’s an antidote and it’s making a clear decision that you are worth more than being the ego’s puppet.  Your life is more than an investment in empty and pointless imaginings and expressions of bile.

My invitation is to look at all the littlest choices for revenge that come up in your life, in your heart and your mind, and give them all away to the Higher Holy Spirit.  Instead, dedicate yourself to being free and loving yourself fully.

Instead of revenge, let’s choose unity and dissolve every thought of revenge ever had by anyone at any time.  That’s a far better use of our minds and our life.  It’s about Self-Love and Self-compassion.  It’s about not torturing ourselves and choosing to heal instead.

Let’s focus on something real and let the false ideas and resentments die from lack of attention.  Let’s make our relationships a goldmine of goodness.  Spirit will do the heavy lifting if we allow it!

FREE CLASS:  Let me suggest some simple ways you can immediately feel more successful in your relationships.  When you’re ready to stop and drop the same old patterns of upset in relationships, the tips and tools I offer in this free class will really support you.  They’re SO simple and yet they have a profound effect.    You can learn to remember to Partner UP rather than struggling in your relationships and that feels so good.  You can stop playing small, and live your calling by ALLOWING healing your relationships.  Are you willing to make more loving choices to deepen your spiritual practice and accelerate your awakening by being a healing presence in your family? It’s easier than you think!  Forgive me.  Here Come the Holidays!

The class is on Sunday – and it’s my gift to you, but you do have to register.  Please bring a friend since it’s free!

Marathon Woman

Monday, October 28th, 2019

It might seem counter-intuitive or it might seem just plain insane, but the pain is helpful. I used to be a runner. I ran the New York Marathon in 1986 with my Dad. In preparing to run the marathon I did many long training runs – 10, 12, 15, 18 and even 20 mile runs to get ready for the big 26.

It was a lot of effort, a lot of work, and it taught me a lot.

I learned that if I had some aches and pains before a run I wouldn’t take any kind of pain killer, because that’s how people injure themselves. If they’re numb to the pain then they don’t know when to stop, when to shift and change. It’s true for athletes and it’s true for everyone.

If we numb ourselves to the pain, the agitation and irritation, and all the other myriad of feelings and emotions then we’ll not be aware when to make a change.

I’ve learned this:

If I can feel it, Spirit can heal it – when I’m willing to let it go.

Pain often comes from blocking the flow of Love.

Even if we’re intentionally blocking the flow of Love, don’t we wish to have a wake-up call in order to know when we’re hurting ourselves?

I used to deceive myself into thinking I could block the pain and still have the Joy, but I ultimately had to face the fact that it’s not possible.

If I’m not willing to feel the emotions I don’t like, and the feelings that bother or confuse me, so I block them all, that’s not going to be the end of it.

I cannot selectively block the suffering, but allow the happy to spread like wildfire. If I shut part of my feelings down, I’m shutting them all down.

I’ve learned to be grateful that I get the emotions and feelings that signal when my thinking is sticking. I’m grateful that my feelings let me know when I’ve ridden the pain train to crazy town and it’s time for me to partner UP with the Higher Holy Spirit Self.

When we realize how much healing is available to us we can learn to become grateful for the indicators that we’ve lost track of what’s REALLY going on and it’s time to partner UP.

I’ve learned not to be distracted or deterred by trying to figure out or understand the ego perceptions, the causes of upset and other ego escapades.

Bottom line: the ego will never understand what the spirit already knows.

Why mess around with trying to figure out WHY we’re having a problem when we can go directly to the problem that has been healed back to the root cause?

I’ve made so many trips to crazy towns on the pain train and I don’t wish to make even one more. The things I learned that healed my life and led me to the happiness I have now are the gold and diamonds of my life. And that’s what I share in my classes.

It’s one thing to talk about it and it’s a healing thing to do the work!

It goes in cycles, and right now, I have such a strong desire for cleansing, clearing, Clarity, and Freedom from the past. I have been doing the Medical Medium Liver Cleanse for 12 days, and before that I was doing a modified version for about a month.

I can feel the release of toxins from the body, and I went through a heavier detox period where I woke up groggy and with a brain fog, but that didn’t last. I love doing a cleanse, because the body-mind connection becomes more visible. In the midst of a cleanse, I have more clarity. My intuition sharpens. I love that feeling. I feel lighter, and I can tell my vibration is higher.

I’m learning to listen to my body more and more attentively. This cleanse calls for me to eat these huge salads twice a day and I can barely eat one of them. There’s nothing I can do, I simply cannot eat anymore. It’s funny to me to be on a cleanse and to not be able to eat all of the food because I already feel so full.

I’m not going to force it, because that’s not my thing. I don’t wish to force myself to eat anything, because it wouldn’t be kind. And I’m not worried about not doing it right. I’m not under-eating, I’m just not able to eat two giant salads in a day and all the other food.

In this instance, Self-Love is taking good care of myself by not doing the healthy thing because it doesn’t feel right. I need to modify and I can feel good about it. I’m still within the guidelines. I don’t need to pressure myself to meet some standard that would require me to forcibly do something that might make me feel ill.

My work requires that I take good care of myself. Exercise, spiritual practice, healthy food, breaks, good sleep, and having fun are all part of having a healthy life. Sometimes it can be tempting to work all the time, because I do love the results that people have. But as the adage goes: “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” The use of the word “dull” in that statement refers to Jack’s life being dull, but it also means that his mind might be dull, too.

I love expressing Creativity, that amazing spiritual quality that is so completely Spirit’s nature. Everywhere we look there is such amazing creativity being expressed by the Infinite, and we can be in tune with it and let it flow through our life.

The more clear we are, mentally, emotionally and physically, the more we can be truly helpful as well as creative, present, awake and alive.

That’s why I’m doing this cleanse, and I’m clear that being kind to myself is an essential aspect to everything I do. Kindness is nourishing to the soul.
